|Parco del Valentino
At the height of the summer solstice, we gathered in the quiet shade of Valentino Park for a joyful Zen calligraphy session. Surrounded by trees and river light, participants explored shodō as a gentle ritual of presence, celebrating the longest day with ink, breath, and stillness.

About the event
The session lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes and opened with a reflection on Geshi, the summer solstice in Japanese and Chinese culture. Participants explored its meaning as a moment of transition, clarity, and renewal. We then shifted to the theme of light, considering how seasonal brightness influences our moods and the rhythm of the body.
The practice continued with a steady meditative shodō session. Nature shaped the atmosphere: wind through the trees, distant river sounds, and the quiet presence of the park. Each stroke followed breath and intention, creating a calm and joyful experience.
