“Ink of the Hidden Ones – Halloween Shodō & Yōkai Night”

Let the lantern light dim and the stories begin. Ink of the Hidden Ones is an immersive shodō experience where ancient yōkai tales are read aloud, and each story becomes a kanji painted in low, flickering light. This is not a performance - it is an atmosphere. A threshold.

What Awaits You

• Yōkai Story Readings   You will hear a curated selection of eerie Japanese folklore: spirits that linger, creatures that hunt, and presences that move between worlds. Each tale is chosen for its symbolism, not for shock - no jumpscares, only slow‑burn atmosphere.

• Kanji Painting Ritual   After each story, you will paint the kanji connected to that yōkai’s nature - characters of shadow, spirit, silence, and threshold. All materials are provided: brushes, ink, paper, and a guided demonstration.
